What is the best way to find a summer rental in Ocean City? Should I call a realtor? Should I check out Craigslist? Should I search VRBO or Airbnb? What about the local newspaper classifieds? Which approach will work best - and get me the best deal?
It's that time of year, and we're starting to get lots of inquiries from folks who are looking to find a good shore rental, for Summer 2023.
The truth is, all of the above strategies can work. Hiring a realtor to help you find a good shore rental is certainly a smart strategy. So too is searching for rentals offered by owner.....which can be a less expensive way of discovering great OC available rentals, and often, at more affordable prices.
But DO do your due dillegence, too. While shore rentals on Craigslist can seem plentiful, we've heard many horror stories over the years, with respect to good people getting scammed, or taken advantage of, by misleading, or completely fake ads and offers.
