Note - the audio excerpt above is from a new audio series of advice, questions and answers, and tips for south jersey authors, artists and entrepreneurs interested in joining the creator economy. (selling art, books, courses, digital files, cultivating communities and clients via a newsletter marketing, and more generally, E-commerce ideas and advice writ large) If you're a local author, artist, entrepreneur or creative, we'd love for you to join us - more details here and here)

Teach one thing, teach one thing at a time.
Teach one small but super specific thing.
Create the smallest thing you can and sell that or create the smallest thing you can sell that offers value.
One page, one checklist, one recipe, one recording.
Focus on making people better in one area around your authority, experience, and expertise.
Minimum viable, maximum valuable.
Optimize and improve after launching with less.
Think small but scale.
Tiny books many times.
Tiny courses many times.
Think small but series.
Use your own life as an example to truth test this idea.
Direct, accessible, and practical wisdom or complex, verbose
guru speak.
Distill important lessons into a way that allows your audience,
your clients, and your community to experience the same
improvements.
Apply the life purpose exercise to everything you create.

  1. Who are you?
  2. What do you do?
  3. Who do you do it for?
  4. What do they need?
  5. How do their lives change when you do what you do best for
    them?
Filter everything you create through this exercise. And keep iterating, improving, optimizing, tweaking and critiquing your words - and your work - while you aim to improve the lives of others.

Teach what you know. Do what you love. Wake up the world with your work.
